Kids Quotes

This morning as the girls and I were discussing the blankets that I have crocheted for each of the girls, Arianna told me, "I like the special blanket you made for me, Mommy, because it has your love on it".   (9/20/10)

 

I don't know where these thoughts come from, but out of the blue while we were driving in the car, Arianna says, "God can say words to us forever because God can say infinity words."  (9/20/10)

 

Selah, Dakota, and I are on my bed this morning and Selah smells Dakota's head and says, "I remember when you brought Dakota home from the hostible (hospital).  She smelled so good, like toast . . . no, no, no . . . like apple pie."  (10/14/10)

 

On Saturday morning, Isabella says to me, "Mom, guess what I want for Christmas."  I replied, "All you want for Christmas is your two front teeth."  She counters me by saying, "All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth and a maid."  (10/23/10)  :-) 

This morning I strapped Livia into her carseat, handed her a doll, sippy cut, and her blanket, and said, "You have your baby, your water, and your blankie; what else could you want?"  And she replies in all seriousness (and with a twinkle in her eye), "A book."  (Not exactly the answer I was expecting from a rhetorical question, but proof that my 2-year-old is understanding the literal meaning of what I am saying very well).  (10/25/10)

 

On Sunday, we were driving home from church with our friend Marsha.  The girls were telling Marsha about this British cartoon on Netflix that they like (and we like as well) called "Shaun the Sheep".  As Arianna related the details of a rather funny episode in a very animated and comical way, I told her, "You crack me up!".  Laughing she replied, "I crack myself up!".  (11/21/10)
